SCOPE

Research on the effects of wind on structures.

ACTIVITIES

Project for the modeling of the Palace of Sports, the cable-stayed bridge of the Mexico-Acapulco highway and the Cancun Bridge, Q. Roo.

MAJOR WORKS AND RECENT PROYECTS

Currently working on the test model of a 48-storey building in Mexico City.

EQUIPMENT

The laboratory has a wind tunnel test with a cross-section of 0.80x1.20 m and a length of 2.40 m, capable of producing wind speeds up to 150 km/h.

  • Spectrum analyzer.
  • Sensors.
  • Central system for turbulence.
  • Hitachi Invertor.
  • Mechanical equipment with a 75 HP motor.
